The Abbey is a vital gathering for our youth leaders and young adults within the Anglican Church.
We’re inviting everyone to consider how you might help make this event sustainable for years to come. We’re looking to build a team of supporters who can:
Pray for the young people, leaders, and the event itself
Give financially to help offset rising costs and keep camp fees accessible
We need all generations working together to bless and build up our young people—and to equip those doing the hard yards with this generation.
You can make a real difference.
The Abbey isn’t just a weekend where people connect with God and one another. It’s a space that brings in experts and voices many churches wouldn’t be able to access on their own.
It’s a weekend of spiritual renewal, practical equipping, and life-giving community.
Why does it matter so much?
Because we’re facing alarming statistics in Aotearoa.
We are, heartbreakingly, world leaders in suicide and self-harm among those aged 8 to 30.
The Abbey helps us push back against this—
offering hope, connection, and tools to leaders walking alongside our rangatahi and young adults.
The Abbey also strengthens and complements the ongoing work happening in our dioceses—adding another layer of support and upskilling for those journeying with young people.
Last year, in an effort to keep costs down, we asked 100 people to donate $200 to sponsor someone to attend The Abbey. We ended up with just 5 churches or individuals supporting us.
Let’s change that for 2026.
We’d love for you to be part of the team.
You can support The Abbey by:
Praying regularly for the event, the team, and our young people
Giving financially—whether a one-off donation or sponsoring someone to attend
We truly need you.
